SAINT TROPEZ AND THE PAINTERS
FEEL THE LIGHT
Come and discover how Saint Tropez became a key location for 20th-century painters.
With the arrival of Paul Signac in 1892, village life changed. Painters came to admire the incredible colours of Saint Tropez, and learned to paint the light and wonderful colors reflected by the houses and the bright sun.
Let's stroll through the old town and along the harbor to admire paintings by Bonnard, Matisse, Picabia, Derain, Marquet,...
Compare the artists' works and places of inspiration.
We'll be returning to the Musée de l'Annonciade to complete our visit.
Whether you want to learn more about the Divisionist and Fauve movements, or are a novice with a desire to discover painting, this tour will surprise you!

YOUR LOCAL GUIDE RECOMMENDS
"You will be really astonished by the light of Saint Tropez. On the harbor, at the end of the day, houses are filled with sunlight. When it's stormy, and only a ray of sunshine goes through the clouds, it's like no other place on earth. Paul Signac painted this moment with The Storm (Annonciade Museum)"
